Dr. Young’s Feel the Beet Smoothie

  • Blender
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoon


  • 3 Cooked beets
  • 1/2 cup Frozen mixed berries or 1 açaí packet
  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1 cup Plain almond milk
  • 1 handful of greens this could be spinach, kale, etc
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger


  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.


Beets are one of the most abundant vegetables and offer many health benefits! Not only is the color a beautiful, bright and vibrant purple, but they offer essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals as well!

Now, I want to tell you that this smoothie is beautiful, and if you leave out the greens it is (not recommended as greens don’t change the flavor and give you a hefty boost of nutrients). But we all know what happens when you mix purple and green…a wonderful shade of mud. So ignore the color and sip the yummy goodness, knowing that looks don’t matter, it is what’s on the inside that counts!
